The British Council is a world leader in cultural relations, building relationships between people in the UK and other countries for mutual benefit. Through innovative new work designed and delivered together with a wide range of partners, we achieve far-reaching impact worldwide. A significant part of our work is teaching English in our own premises, and we enable millions of individuals to develop their own English skills. Our aim is to be world leaders in knowledge and experience of the role of English in an international context.

We have 80 English language Teaching Centres in 50 countries. This summer we have 16 vacancies at Middle Management level in some of these centres. You will have the chance to work in a regional and global context, using and developing your management and academic skills. We are looking for candidates with an internationally recognised TEFL Q qualification (e.g. DELTA, Diploma in TESOL or equivalent), as well as proven skills in Academic Management or Exams Management and in Business Management & Development. Contracts are for two years, starting summer 2011.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits, with the chance to develop a longer term career with the British Council. If you are interested in applying, please send a CV, which must clearly show your TEFL qualifications and experience, to TeachThere@britishcouncil.org and ask for an application pack. We cannot process any requests sent after 1600 hours on 3 April 2011.
