Global Partnership Coordination and Reporting Manager P3

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill the position of the Global Partnership Coordination and Reporting Manager at P3 level, which will become available in our headquarters in Rome, Italy.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following key duties:

- Work closely with senior managers to establish prospecting and fundraising priorities for global prospecting team;
- Oversee the prospecting strategy and execution across global team in multiple geographies, including North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East;
- Manage the identification of sectors appropriate for long-term donor relationships with WFP, including liaising with the Information Management and Research Manager to analyze the financial potential of corporate, foundation and individual targets;
- Analyze social and economic trends affecting the corporate and foundation world, synthesize and interpret data and adapt prospecting strategy accordingly;
- Generate specific prospecting strategies that create compelling arguments for companies and foundations to establish, maintain and grow relationships with WFP;
- Work with the Partnership Communications Manager, ensure pitch materials incorporate up to date messages and balance the needs of potential partners with WFP needs;
- Work with Partnership Managers to negotiation deals that have mutually beneficial terms;
- Work with Information Management Division, analyse and report accordingly prospecting and partnership lists to help senior management and Partnership Managers to maximize opportunities;
- Manage and report regularly prospecting and fundraising results (including donor forecasting) to demonstrate progress towards Private Partnership teams’ metrics and goal;
- Provide strategic direction and proposed improvements on financial aspects of the private sector fundraising strategy;
- Report fundraising progress and results monthly and as-needed basis for internal and external audiences;
- Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience Required
Education:
- University degree in International Development, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or other related fields. MBA is desirable.

Experience:
- At least 5 years of postgraduate progressively responsible professional experience in international development or corporate social responsibility/sustainability and demonstrated understanding of fundraising trends and global financial processes involving public-private partnerships;
- Experience in private sector fundraising, developing public-private partnerships, negotiations with private partners and financial planning and donor reporting;
- Managerial experience.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Communications and reporting skills that demonstrate ability to interpret complex data and communicate to internal and external audiences in a clear and concise way;
- Financial skills such as forecasting revenue, budget trends and analysis;
- General knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations and procedures governing administration is an asset.

Competencies:
- Excellent presentation and problem solving skills;
- Strong organization and planning ability;
- Ability to think and plan strategically;
- Ability to work independently, as well as to organize, assess and coordinate the work of others;
- Ability to work harmoniously with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.

Language:
- Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, French, Spanish, Russian or Chinese) or Portuguese as a WFP working language.


Terms and Conditions
Selected candidates will be employed on a two-year contract fixed-term with a probationary period of one year. After the completion of the first term, contract may be extended or renewed if certain conditions are met.
