We seek qualified candidates for the position of Project Director in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Position Responsibilities:
The Project Director will provide leadership and management oversight for project and any additional portfolio and activities of the country office. Oversees operations and, as the primary FHI country representative, ensures strong collaboration with government, partners, and donors. Represents FHI to external donors and leads FHI business development efforts in country.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience managing PEPFAR and CDC-funded projects; familiarity with USAID and with USG regulation. Experience working with host-country governments and local partners (LNGOs, CBOs, FBOs) in resource-limited settings. Experience with a range of HIV/AIDS interventions (including prevention, care, and treatment) and other public health programs, and with SGBV. Demonstrated experience of large-scale capacity-building assistance. Direct experience of governmental policy development. Experience working in Africa
MS/MA in public health or related field and 7-9 years relevant experience with international development programs, that includes 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Overseas field experience required; PhD/MD and 5-7 years relevant experience with international development programs and includes 3-5 years of supervisory experience, overseas field experience required.-
