Key Responsibilities
-Define and set up the logistical strategies for the mission.
-Coordinate the implementation of logistics systems and procedures to guarantee an optimal systematization of all logistical aspects of the mission.
-Participating in the evaluation, preparation, planning and responding to emergencies and projects implementation.
-Implant an efficient security plan and constant key data collection and monitor daily security management.
-Guarantee the mission's correct supply, with a special emphasis on purchasing and international delivery.
-Participating in the elaboration of the country's budget and conducting budgetary assessments in terms of logistics.
-Managing the logistical staff: supervision, technical support and evaluation, contracts and training of the staff under his responsibility.
-Guarantee a reliable and secure telecommunication system, adapted to the context of each base.
-Strengthening Intermon Oxfam's technical skills in logistics in the country, both for the existing IO project team or for the identified partners.
-Taking part in the elaboration and/or revision of the Contingency Plan.
-Provide technical support for Risk Management activities.
-Work on Logistics Capacity Building with IO partners in the country.
Experience and Skills
-2 years experiencie in international cooperation (expatriate positions), 1 year in humanitarian interventions
-Experience in field management at least one of them as Logistics Manager
-Experience in openning missions
-It would be highly valued experience in missions with a high security component
-Experience in at least one of these domains: electricity, communication systems, mechanics, supplies.
-Languages : proficiency in English, Spanish will be a plus
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Management skills.
-Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
-Ability to work with a team in an intense environment.
-We will value knowledge of the national reality of the country.
Working Conditions
Contract: 1 year
Salary: According to the Intermón Oxfam's country salary scale + per diem
Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
Holidays: 27 days per year
R&R: 1 week each 12 weeks of work. Flight payed to Nairobi or Entebbe. The R&R can be reviewed while in mission.
Working place: Juba, South Sudan. Regular travels to the field are necessary.
