World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the global conservation organization, seeks a Deputy Director for Foundation Relations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director to co-lead the 8-person Foundation Relations team in setting strategies and implementing WWF’s foundation philanthropy program. The position will also share responsibility with the Director for annual revenue goals in excess of $11 million to produce strong portfolio growth. In working collaboratively with Program staff, this person will also manage a portfolio of relationships with professional foundations, lead the development of major proposals, ensure strong stewardship of existing grants, and directly supervise a staff of three.
A Bachelors degree with 7 years of fundraising or relevant programmatic experience is required. An advanced degree in a related field is preferred. At least 3 years of management experience is also required. The successful candidate will be experienced with foundation cultivation and writing major government or foundation proposals, be a strategic thinker, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience working in International or Conservation NGOs with a significant track record of producing successful proposals is critical.
