World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the global conservation organization, seeks a Program Officer to join its climate change team in order to assist in the development and advocacy of strong US action on climate change and US participation in a global climate deal. The incumbent will contribute to the development of policies and strategies aimed at building a sound political case for the adoption of strong and effective US climate policy. Will also analyze legislative and policy proposals related to international climate change issues.
A minimum of 5 years experience in climate change, energy, environmental policy, economics, or other related field is required. Climate Change legislative experience is preferred. Strong communication skills (oral and written), sound relationship and consensus building; proven ability to develop policy and work with decision makers to achieve results; and a high degree of initiative and flexibility to accommodate deadlines and constantly changing priorities are also needed. A Graduate degree or related experience is preferred.
